Job Description:                     

We are looking for an Associate Media Director to join our team in a senior-level role that will report directly to the BrandVerge founders. The primary responsibility of the Associate Media Director is to oversee the planning, implementation, and optimization of media campaigns across various channels to meet our marketing and advertising goals. The expectation is for the Associate Media Director to be an expert on their clients’ business, and serve as a leader on the daily client business and within the agency. The Associate Media Director will demonstrate a working knowledge of the media space, for both digital and traditional channels, in both strategy and buying.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with Founders and lead team members in development of comprehensive media strategies aligned with our marketing objectives and target audience
  • Lead the media planning process, which involves researching and selecting media channels, negotiating media rates, and managing media budgets
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging media platforms to identify new opportunities for reaching the target audience effectively
  • Translate client briefs into insights-led media strategy
  • Working closely with data science and channel leads who are responsible for driving campaign performance goals through the application of scientific methods and technology
  • Remain fully embedded in all aspects of the campaign from initial plan development through to campaign execution, measurement and optimization
  • Serve as the primary day-to-day agency contact for key clients
  • Partner with clients to understand their business goals, marketing objectives and competitive constraints for the purpose of leading agency media planning outputs
  • Foster collaboration between teams; work with partner agencies (where applicable) to integrate messaging & creative campaigns into overall media campaigns
  • Oversee cross-channel budget management working with client and internal stakeholders
  • Delegate tasks effectively, review work quality, and foster a collaborative and positive work environment
  • Attend client meetings, presentations, and discussions to provide media expertise, address concerns, and present campaign results
  • Prepare comprehensive reports, highlighting key performance metrics, insights, and recommendations for future campaigns

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of client-facing media planning experience with a track record of driving results
  • Broad knowledge of the overall media landscape, consumer behavior and media consumption
  • Cross-channel understanding of the media planning ecosystem and lifecycle from strategy to reporting
  • Curious mindset with strong critical thinking skills needed to solve diverse business challenges
  • Experience in a client-facing environment leading relationships with a commitment to excellence
  • Superb communication and presentation skills translating client challenges to campaign solutions
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional environment (internally & externally)
  • Desire to be a hands-on multi-tasker that thrives in a fast-paced environment
  • A data-driven approach, leveraging insights to develop strategy and define measurement
